At a time when google are ”hindering” access (just a warning message at the moment) to non secured sites, they seemed to be ignoring their own, such as blogspot and google photo. However yesterday google made it official that blogspot domain sites are now HTTPS secure. At last!
What does that mean? HTTPS stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure. It means that all traffic between the website and your browser is encrypted (and can not be seen by intervening software and “man in the middle” sniffers). It protects everyone but mostly you and your browsing. Usually you will see a little padlock icon in your browser address bar or browser status bar is indicate this added security and encryption to the website is active.
