watching the waves break

there is something very peacefull and satisfying in watching the surf roll in. It is not such an easy subject to photograph, especially given "the delay" in digital cameras. You see the waves and tides wait for no one, as a certain King Kanute can tell you. Using mutli-exposure mode, usually indicted by an icon showing a series of simple overlayed rectangles, gives you the opporutunity to follow the action in a set of consecutive frames. The number of frames usually depends on your cameras memory and image resolution. A few cameras let you set the time between exposures.
